Osaka

Last city of our tour through Japan. Not so high on the tourist hit parades, Osaka is however not short of impressive attractions: we visited one of the city’s most striking skyscrapers, the Umeda Sky Building where you can take a glass elevator up to the Floating Garden Observatory 170 m above the ground. We went also to a performance of Bunraku, the traditional puppet theatre. Very traditional but very nice to see. The Festival gate and Osaka Bay with Suntory Museum were rather disappointing. Evening dinner in a typical Osaka 'okonomiyaki' restaurant was a discovery. Osaka people love food, eating and life! And so did we.
